Well that didn’t go so well!
Federal Minister of Agriculture Julia Klöckner (47, CDU) sprained her ankle and fell before the morning’s general debate. Gradual fall in the Bundestag! It happened right next to the government bank. But: Nothing bad, Klöckner pointed out later with a smile.
When asked by BILD, the politician said: “My shoe got stuck on the metal bar on the step. But the mask and the glasses are not always a good combination for the correct “level assessment”.
But: “Except for a brief shock, everything is fine,” Klöckner told BILD.
It still looked bad: the politician lost his glasses when he fell. The stockings on her left knee were also torn. Other people present rushed to help.

The three-and-a-half-hour debate on the Foreign Ministry’s budget traditionally has the character of a general debate on government policy.
At the beginning of the budget week, Federal Finance Minister Olaf Scholz (SPD) defended the budget with the new debt of 180,000 million euros as a result of the crisis in the Crown on Tuesday. The opposition voiced clear criticism.
