German champion FC Bayern Munich is worried about Joshua Kimmich. The midfielder injured his right knee in Saturday’s header against Borussia Dortmund and had to be substituted.

According to the specialized magazine “Kicker” there is a suspicion of a meniscus tear. Because of this, the German national team player had to undergo surgery and then be out for several weeks. This has not yet been confirmed by FC Bayern. National coach Joachim Löw has yet to designate a replacement for Kimmich for international matches in the coming weeks.

Kimmich suffered the injury when he fouled BVB forward Erling Haaland, for which he also received a yellow card. He then limped across the field, supported by two supervisors. Last season, the best player Kimmich decided the best match in Dortmund with his goal.
