Thomas Müller was stunned!
“Are you kidding me? What’s going on here?” The original Bavarian screamed Wednesday night, clearly audible through the Allianz Arena.
“We are playing against Atlético de Madrid, the biggest bully in the world. And I see yellow for something like that,” said the 31-year-old.
What happened? Müller had played the ball first on the wing in the 21st minute, before lightly touching the late Trippier.
Referee Michael Oliver let the game continue for a few seconds, but then looked back at the gonorrhea lying on the ground and whistled.
Yellow card for Müller, who (with good reason!) Could not believe it and began his scolding tirade with many gestures.
Neuer cautions the assistant referees
It was not the first time that Müller and Bayern agreed with the referee’s decisions in the initial phase, in which Atlético has always been determined.
Bayern captain Manuel Neuer also had the urge to speak at the Müller scene. “How? Focus now,” he announced aloud to fourth official Andrew Medley on the bench.

As a result, the Bayern stars in particular went to work in a concentrated manner. After goals from Kingsley Coman and Leon Goretzka, Munich went into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
Müller demonstrated not only verbally as an advantage, but also jokingly.
Müller: “OMG that sucks”
Even if the Munich team made it 3-0 through Corentin Tolisso in the 66th minute, Müller remained energetic.
“That’s crazy. What is this?” It could be heard in minute 70. The addressees: again the referee team.

But Müller didn’t spare himself. “My God, that sucks you,” he commented on a failed flank.
Overall, Bayern and Müller could be more than satisfied with their performance. In the end, FC Bayern won the game 4-0.
And Müller need not fear a reprimand from FCB coach Hansi Flick.
“No, I didn’t hear it,” Flick replied, laughing when asked after the final whistle if he had heard what Müller was saying. “But it was important to me that we respond.”
