During the search for an internet café in the Neukölln district and an employee’s apartment there, numerous pieces of evidence were found, as announced by the Dresden prosecutor.

“We assume he was in contact with the perpetrators,” said a spokesman.

There is a suspicion that he sold them SIM cards registered with fictitious personal data or gave them to the café for distribution, which were used by the perpetrators.

“The SIM cards in question were used during the preparation of the crime and also during the actual execution of the crime for agreements between the perpetrators,” said the Public Ministry.

It is still unclear if he was aware of its use and the man is not a suspect.

Investigators took commercial documents, cell phones and storage material, which are now being evaluated.

They hope that they will lead buyers of the SIM cards and that the perpetrators of the coup can be identified, said the spokesman for the Dresden prosecution service. It is “a first clue” to clarify the case.
