The US presidential elections were more than three weeks ago. But only now does incumbent Trump offer the possibility of moving out of the White House. But mention a condition.
US President Donald Trump wants to leave the White House if the electoral college appoints Democrat Joe Biden as the new US President in mid-December. “Sure I will. And you know it,” Trump said when asked if he would leave the White House if the electoral college confirmed Biden’s victory.
The president-elect added, however, that the Electoral College would make a “mistake” in the case. Trump reiterated that there had been “massive fraud” in the November 3 presidential election. The electoral infrastructure in the United States is like that of a “third world country,” he told reporters.
It would be “very difficult” to admit defeat, Trump said after a video session with US soldiers abroad on the Thanksgiving holiday. It was the first time since the November 3 elections that I asked journalists questions. Trump said he doesn’t think it’s right that Biden is already putting together a cabinet.

In the United States, the president is not elected directly by the electorate, but by a college of electors that belongs to the Electoral College. The electoral college consists of 538 voters. They will cast their votes in their states on December 14. At least 270 of the 538 votes are required to enter the White House.
Biden has 306 voters in the Nov. 3 poll, Trump against 232. Despite the clear advantage, Trump has been refusing to acknowledge his electoral defeat for weeks and claims the election was rigged.
Election officials for Trump’s Republicans firmly reject the incumbent president’s allegations of fraud, and officials even spoke of “the safest election in American history.”
Biden will be sworn in as the new president of the United States on January 20.
