The number of corona cases increases in Remscheid for the third day in a row. The so-called 7-day incidence value rose to the previous high of 71.2 on Friday, as the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) noted on its website. On Wednesday, it was above the critical limit of 50 for the first time with a value of 51.2.
Students and teachers at the Albert Einstein Comprehensive School were particularly affected by the Corona wave. In coordination with the district government and the health department, Principal Martina Gathen has decided to close the school for face-to-face classes until fall break. All schoolchildren should receive learning material in digital format. On Friday, the school administration could not comment on why the comprehensive school on Brüderstraße took this step. There are only 30 teachers available for students.
