Four first graders helped police in Hamm investigate a car accident in which a woman was run over.
Luisa, Romy, Celina and Luis from the dragon class at the Overberg school in Bockum-Hövel were on their way to their primary school on Wednesday. At a pedestrian light, the students waited for green and saw a car hit a barrier while turning.
The “short blond haired” driver did not take care of the damage and continued on his way, they reported first to his class teacher and then to the officer in charge.

Celina and Luis painted two photographs of the incident, one showing a sketch of the accident scene and the other a black car. They both gave the policeman a job.
“The images are now part of the investigation file,” said a police spokesman. The police also posted the images on their Facebook page. “Great guys, all well done,” wrote one reader. “The offspring are in the starting blocks,” another.
