There was no contact list there, lots of alcohol, and unruly guests at the party, even close to curfew at 11 p.m. Around 1:20 a.m., officers realized that several people had gathered in front of a club on the Reeperbahn during a patrol. Some of them entered the building, which the officers found suspicious, so they searched the club but found no one.

But because there was an unusually large number of jackets in the wardrobe, they searched further and found nearly 90 people in an initially locked basement. They had barricaded the basement door with benches, bicycles, and iron bars, and the police took them out one by one from the club. At least three people were arrested.

Stronger rules in effect from Saturday
Tighter rules have been in place in Hamburg since Saturday due to growing crown numbers. One was also valid in numerous public places like Spielbudenplatz in St. Pauli or Alma-Wartenberg-Platz in Ottensen. Mandatory mask also outdoors. The rules provide for this, among other things:
