Travel advisories for other areas of Europe
Sedan The Federal Foreign Office has issued travel advisories for other regions of Europe. The current launches affect Geneva, Prague, Dubrovnik or the island of Corsica.
Existing travel advisories have been extended for parts of France. Consequently, due to the high number of infections, there are now warnings against traveling to Corsica and the Île-de-France, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Auvergne-Rhône-Alps, Occitanie and Nouvelle-Aquitaine regions. Previously, due to the increasing number of new corona infections, travel advisories had already been issued for the Ile-de-France with the capital Paris and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region on the Mediterranean coast.
The Federal Foreign Office also warns against travel to the Swiss cantons of Geneva and Vaud. The Czech capital, Prague, is now on the list. In addition, other areas were added in Croatia: Dubrovnik-Neretva and Požega-Slavonia. The Zadar, Šibenik-Knin and Split-Dalmatia regions were previously affected.
A travel warning is not a travel ban, but is intended to have a deterrent effect. The warning allows travelers to cancel reservations for free.
