The future president of the United States, Biden, has already chosen his chief of staff, but who will be part of his government? Biden has to be strategic about the cast. Some prominent names are in the running.

Ron Klain will soon be Joe Biden’s chief of staff. At a polling place, calls for a new crown policy for the US Klain is Biden’s first personnel decision, one of the most important, because the chief of staff is the bottleneck to accessing the president.
Of course, there is speculation in Washington about who will become a minister in a Biden cabinet, and the future president is not short of advice.
Warren as Secretary of the Treasury?
Bernie Sanders would like to have Elisabeth Warren as Treasury Secretary because, according to Sanders, she will oppose the interests of the financial industry. Former opponent Bidens in the primary campaign is at the top of the remaining party wish list for this key ministry.
But there are other trades there who are more professional than Warren. Janet Yellen, for example, the former head of the US Federal Reserve ousted by Trump. Or Lael Brainard, former Secretary of State for the Treasury.
Biden: “No pressure”
No pressure, says Biden. Even if it is currently more difficult than planned to prepare the new government, he will proceed systematically and select the right people for his cabinet.
For example, Susan Rice, Barack Obama’s security adviser, could become secretary of state. You and Biden know each other well. Other candidates are Senator, foreign politician and Biden confidant Chris Coons and William Burns, who has worked for Warren Christopher and Madeleine Albright.
Sen. Tammy Duckworth is named Defense, a veteran who lost both legs in the Iraq war and was also discussed as vice president. Michèle Flournoy and Jeh Johnson are also defense experts, but they are on the boards of directors of the arms manufacturers and therefore could meet resistance from the left.
Strategic occupation
In general, Biden has to satisfy the various wings of the party. Also, there are some from the list of previous opponents who may have to be compensated for not running in the presidential election in favor of Biden.
For the Department of Labor, Bernie Sanders comes into play. Others are Amy Klobuchar for the Department of Agriculture or Pete Buttigieg for the Department of Veterans.
Another important thing is the Department of Justice, which should regain greater internal independence after William Barr, who was loyal to Trump. The names here are Xavier Becerra, who succeeded Kamala Harris as attorney general in California. The party’s leader, Tom Pérez, who was previously the labor minister and human rights prosecutor, also raised his finger. Sally Yates, who served as minister for ten days before Trump fired her, would also have a good chance, due to her rebellion.
