According to information from BILD, the parents (of Eritrean descent) had not found the little boy in the apartment in the Frankfurter Strasse / Westring area and were immediately concerned. They alerted the police that night. Police say: “She left her parents’ house without being seen.”

Firefighters and a police rescue dog team were on duty Monday night, searching for the girl with thermal imaging cameras and in a rubber boat in nearby waters.

The search was stopped overnight and then continued on Tuesday. There: several riot police officers, officers from the Frankfurt Police Headquarters and the Hünfeld Federal Police. A drone with a thermal imaging camera was also used. The Fulda fire brigade and the DLRG were also back on duty to re-register the waters in Fuldaaue.
