Sega is giving away the strategy game Total War: Shogun 2 based in medieval Japan until Friday, May 1 on Steam. The publisher justified the situation with the desire to give a reason to stay home in the current crisis, but immediately pointed to a total war sale.

Total War: Shogun 2, like every Total War, combines turn-based strategy with part of real-time tactics. In the first, the fate of the faction itself, here a Japanese clan, is controlled, the second represents battles between armies. Developers were able to successfully implement the sophisticated concept, resulting in high ratings.

The game can be obtained for free directly from its product page on Steam during the promotional period. An account on the platform is required. At the same time, other parts of the brand and associated DLCs are offered at a discount. The branches of the Warhammer, Three Kingdoms and Rome series are excluded from the price reductions.
