Despite Corona regulations and curfew, thousands of ravers threw an illegal New Year’s Eve party in western France. In front of the camera, some people explain what prompted them.

In western France, an illegal New Year’s Eve party with around 2,500 participants got completely out of hand. Despite Corona’s requirements, the ravers enthusiastically celebrated in an empty warehouse in Lieuron, a small town in Brittany. When the police tried to break up the party, the officers were attacked and evicted. Bottles and stones were thrown. The police have issued more than 1,200 parking tickets. In a video interview, the party people now explain why the party was more important to them than their own health.
