Four locations of the crime scene of agent “Funkstille” | hessenschau.de

Many of the locations in the new “Funkstille” radio crime scene have an interesting history. From a “lost place” to Frankfurt water houses to a celebrity villa in Kelkheim, it’s all there.

Emily had a date with the neighbor Sebastian at night in the park. But that does not come. At home, Emily learns that Sebastian is said to have thrown himself to his death in an old factory. The 17-year-old still doesn’t know why Sebastian had to die and what role her parents play in the new HR crime scene. “Radio silence” will play. The officer’s crime scene was filmed in the following locations:

Lost place

Abandoned hangar at Eschborn military airfield

The old hall is a “lost place” par excellence. Dark environment, broken walls, garbage in the rooms and a lot of graffiti on the walls. Here is the body of 19-year-old Sebastián. It is not yet clear to the investigative team, consisting of Anna Janneke and Paul Brix, how he died. Was it really a suicide?

The scene was filmed at the old Eschborn air base. Used by the German Air Force during World War II and later occupied by American troops, the former military airport is now part of the Main-Taunus Arboretum. This is a park of several hectares in the municipalities of Sulzbach, Schwalbach am Taunus and Eschborn.

Nele Neuhaus Villa

Janneke and Brix are at home with the Fisher family

Of course, when they visit the family, Janneke and Brix cannot foresee what happened at the Fisher family home. You’re sitting in the living room and you want to know what the family has to do with the murder of neighbor Sebastian.

It is interesting to note that the villa that served as the set for the Fisher family has a crime history of its own and is in Kelkheim. Until a few years ago, crime and bestselling author Nele Neuhaus lived and worked here.

The Frankfurt classic

Gretchen Fisher meets a sinister woman at Frankfurt's Opernplatz

Frankfurt classics, of course, shouldn’t be missing from any HR crime scene. Opernplatz is particularly popular with tourists and has attracted attention from across the country in recent weeks. In the film, the Opernplatz is a meeting place for Gretchen Fisher (Tessa Mittelstaedt) and a sinister Russian woman.

A second classic is the Kleinmarkthalle. Here’s a chase, Emily is followed by an American agent until Brix shows up.

Water house

Emily meets an agent in a water house

The originals from Frankfurt are, of course, also the drinking fountains and the water houses. They are an integral part of the Frankfurt cityscape and should of course not be missing from the crime scene. The water houses have existed since the second half of the 19th century. In the past, Bitzelwasser, that is, mineral water, was bottled here, but today, of course, you can also buy alcoholic beverages.

In the new crime scene, the water house is the meeting point between Emily and an American agent who wants to recruit her.
