“Lucrative General Package”
Forward Bas Dost leaves Eintracht Frankfurt
A bang on Christmas Eve: Eintracht Frankfurt have announced the transfer of striker Bas Dost to Belgium.
Bas Dost leaves the Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt. The Dutchman will move to top Belgian club FC Brugge with immediate effect, as announced by the Hessians on Thursday night.
The 31-year-old forward originally had a contract with Eintracht until June 30, 2022. Bruges had already expressed interest in Dost last summer. There he should now sign a contract for a year and a half, according to the Belgians.
Bobic: “Witches did everything they could to get Bas”
“As is well known, the pandemic has presented us with financial challenges. Club Brugge has worked hard to get Bas, and for us it is a lucrative overall package,” said Eintracht sports director Fredi Bobic. “The top priority right now is to act economically and for the benefit of Eintracht Frankfurt. We are fulfilling this by granting a wish to the player.
Dost moved from Sporting Lisbon to Main in the summer of 2019. He has played a total of 43 competitive matches for Frankfurt and has scored 15 goals.
