To allow proper follow-up of contacts, regulatory authorities must be able to prove violations, for example, in the case of incorrect personal information in restaurants, with a minimum fine of 50 euros, according to a draft of the proposed federal resolution for Chancellor Angela Merkel’s deliberations at the disposal of the German Press Agency in Berlin. For celebrations in private rooms, the federal government also proposes a limit to a maximum of 25 participants. In public spaces, the limit must be a maximum of 50 participants, according to the draft resolution proposal. It is not clear whether this should only apply when certain limit values for new infections are exceeded.
Temporary ban on serving
The federal government is also debating the possibility of serving alcohol. In particularly affected regions, the alcohol ration may be limited under certain conditions. In order to minimize infections in the restaurant industry, “limited-time alcohol service bans should be issued” as the number of infections increases, according to the draft motion for a resolution.
