During the first vaccination campaigns for educators and teachers in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, several hundred educators received their first injection with the Astrazeneca vaccine on Friday.

From the district of Rostock it was said that due to the high demand, some interested parties did not even contact the national telephone line. The staff should be increased from Monday. In Schwerin, the mobile vaccination teams will visit the other 47 kindergartens and primary schools on the next two Fridays. Due to new corona infections, two daycare and after-school care groups, an elementary school class and residents of two student dormitories in Wismar had to be quarantined in northwest Mecklenburg on Friday. A nursery school in Schwerin was completely closed and a nursery group in Güstrow.
