Florian Neuhaus is apparently at the top of Bayern’s shopping list. Are the people of Gladbach attracted to the Free State? Munich probably has good cards.

Munich – Florian Neuhaus appears to be at the top of Bayern’s transfer wish list. Apparently, the flirtation has become concrete a long time ago: Gladbach’s midfield star might already be wearing red in the summer.

An old friend from Säbener Straße could play a decisive role: Christian Nerlinger is Neuhaus’s adviser, and the 47-year-old was FC Bayern’s sporting director from 2009 to 2012. The official line is short, and as the expert on Italian transfers Nicolo Schira, Munich has already made use of this. As a result, contact has already been made.

Florian Neuhaus to Bayern? Agent Nerlinger could play a crucial role

Neuhaus probably has a 40 million euro release clause in his contract, Max Eberl almost certainly won’t let his protégé go for less. More recently, the national player could not take advantage of his outstanding performance in the first half of the season; like many colt players, he suffers from the current weakness of form.

Borussia coach Marco Rose was at least partly responsible for the crisis with the early announcement of his transfer to BVB. Former Leo Neuhaus is an undisputed regular with Rose, who would likely trade with a Bayern move. The duo Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka don’t seem to budge in the next few years.

FC Bayern are chasing Florian Neuhaus, but will he even play?

However, if one of the two fails, some players have been able to test each other in recent months: be it Corentin Tolisso, Marc Roca, Jamal Musiala or Javi Martínez, neither could really convince. So a trade for Neuhaus could make a lot of sense, because Leon Goretzka was also just a replacement in Munich before making his breakthrough after the Corona breakup last year.

So will the second transfer be announced shortly after Dayot Upamecano? If so, FC Bayern would have already spent 80 million euros for the new season. So that should also be the upper limit. (epp)
