At the “Bauer sucht Frau” barn festival in 2016, it had shot straight up. Christian and Barbara have been a couple ever since. Now, four years later, the two are expecting offspring together for the first time.
With “Bauer sucht Frau”, Christian looked for love and found it. In the twelfth season of the RTL dome show, the rancher fell in love with the mower Barbara. He took her with him to the patio and did not let her go again. Three years later, the two sealed their love by saying yes.
“Since January we are four”
Now the couple can look forward to the next milestone in their relationship. Christian and Barbara become parents together for the first time. It will be ready in a few weeks. “Starting in January there will be four of us,” the 31-year-old said in an interview with RTL.
Barbara also already revealed the baby’s gender: “It’s going to be a boy!” The boy’s father is especially happy about that. “I am very happy that it will be a boy as a successor to the farm. You are proud as a father,” said Christian.

By the way, he is not Barbara’s first child. She already has an eleven-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. Katharina is also happy for the offspring. He will soon have a brother.
On Christmas Eve, Barbara and Christian also told their fans on Instagram that the family was growing. They wrote about a photo: “We wish you all a Merry Christmas.” After that they put the hashtag “soon there will be four”.
Barbara and Christian aren’t the only “Bauer sucht Frau” stars to become parents in 2021. Anna and Gerald are also expecting offspring. On Christmas Eve, the Namibian couple shared a Christmas belly picture.
