The State Criminal Police Office in the capital is investigating dozens of cases against doctors for false corona certificates. Nearly 100 preliminary investigations are currently underway for the issuance of incorrect health certificates, police said at the request of the German Press Agency.
Some of the proceedings had been handed over to prosecutors in other federal states, as the doctors who issued the certificates were not practicing in Berlin.
Berlin police check, especially during demonstrations, whether the crown’s rules are being followed, such as the use of mouth and nose protection, he said.
Since the beginning of September, complaints have been processed in the State Criminal Police for the use of incorrect health certificates. They were directed against people who do not wear a mask as prescribed and who are said to have presented false certificates in this context. So far almost 260 ads have been collected.
Using incorrect health certificates is a crime, a spokesperson noted. This is the case, for example, if during an inspection blank medical certificates are printed and presented, which can be downloaded free of charge from the Internet and are provided with your name, address and your own diagnosis.

There are doubts about an actual certificate even if no clear medical indicators are given, such as the formulation “unreasonable for medical reasons” or if a blanket exemption from mask use is certified.
“Certificates can only be issued by resident doctors and hospital doctors,” he said.
