CDU rejects the accusations

In Erfurt, the AfD candidate fails again
In Erfurt, AfD councilor Marek Erfurth again failed in the election of the third vice president of the city council. He received 15 votes Thursday night. 30 councilors abstained from voting. Even the AfD candidate for the council of older people did not get a majority.
Since the constituent meeting of the then newly elected municipal council in June 2019, the AfD parliamentary group has been trying to get Marek Erfurth as the council’s third vice chairman. So far, the majority of the city council has refused to transfer seats to members of the AfD parliamentary group.
