Erling Haaland has been named best European U21 player.

Borussia Dortmund’s young star forward was published by the Italian sports daily Tuttosport with the prestigious “Golden Boy” award. This is awarded annually to the most promising young star in Europe’s top leagues. More recently, the award went to Joao Felix from Altético Madrid.

“The boy from the ice and the fjords left everyone behind and deservedly won the Golden Boy 2020,” he wrote. Tuttosport. The award will be presented to him on December 14 in Turin. It’s a historic award: Haaland is not only the first Norwegian to win the Golden Boy, he is also the first Scandinavian to receive the award.

Tuttosport described Haaland as a “true tsunami” that turned the standards of Norwegian football upside down. The BVB star is a scoring machine reminiscent of a “cyborg”.
