Her brother (33) reported the 14-year-old missing on Friday. After indications that the girl was said to have been to the abandoned house before, police searched for her there and found her body Saturday night.
An autopsy of the body on Sunday revealed that the cause of death was “forceful violence to the head,” police said.
Searching for clues in the demolished building in Duisburg-Hochfeld led investigators to believe that the victim was violently murdered on the ground floor of the ruined building.

“So obviously they buried her there in the basement under a pile of rubble. The girl’s 14-year-old friend got involved in contradictions during his interrogation, for which he was arrested on Sunday on urgent suspicion, ”said the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police.
The prosecutor’s office in Duisburg will apply to the responsible local court for an arrest warrant for involuntary manslaughter on Monday.
The 14-year-old was picked up in Düsseldorf on Friday evening after passersby reported that a young man appeared to be disoriented. He is also said to have told police where the girl was found.
The fallow land with the ruins in Duisburg is secured by a fence, but is known to children as an adventure park and to the homeless.
