A WWII bomb plane was found in Hannover on Thursday in the Misburg-Süd district. The area will be evacuated in the afternoon.

According to the fire department, almost 3,800 people have to leave their apartments and houses. Rail lines are also affected. Those responsible have published a map with the evacuation area and a list of the affected streets. Those affected are asked to leave the security area at 4.30 p.m.

Establishment of two healthcare centers

Residents living in the affected area east of the Mittelland Canal can use a call center in the sports halls of the Misburg School Center. For those affected west of the Mittelland Canal, a care center will be installed in the sports hall of the Pestalozzi School. Free bus transportation will be provided. Stops are at Gollstrasse, Hartmannstrasse, Portlandstrasse and at the foothold of the Misburg Sports Center. People with walking difficulties can below phone number 19222 request a ride. People are likely to be able to return to their apartments at night.

More suspicions

According to the fire department, the fiasco is a five-hundred-peso bomb that must now be cleaned. There are also four other suspicious bombs in the immediate vicinity that are being investigated by specialists from the explosive ordnance disposal service.
