The numbers speak for themselves: According to previous estimates, Joe Biden should have received more than five million more votes than Donald Trump at the end of the count. Specifically, a total of 80 million votes are forecast, which would be a record in the history of the US elections.

Internationally, numerous leading politicians have already contacted Biden and congratulated him on his victory. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is among them. He publicly referred to Trump as “the former president.”
According to broadcaster NBC, Trump could even get away with it entirely without formally admitting bankruptcy. That would be a one-time process. “Don’t expect me to accept defeat,” the station quotes an anonymous adviser to the president. “He’s more likely to say something like, ‘We can’t trust the results, but I’m not contesting them.’
From a purely legal point of view, Trump would not have to publicly admit defeat. Even without adhering to this political tradition, Biden will be sworn in as the 46th president of the United States on January 20. However, the damage and doubts about the democratic system that Trump causes with his behavior are immense.
Georgia reports: so far no disagreements
The current president sticks to his legal tactics. His campaign team wants to demand the counting of votes in several states. In Georgia, Republicans on Wednesday named the names of four deceased who were voted in the Georgia election, records show. More examples would follow, he said.
There is no indication of inconsistencies in the ongoing count of votes cast in Georgia. There are still no signs of electoral fraud, said the state Interior Minister Brad Raffensperger. “We believe the ballots were accurately counted.” Raffensperger had ordered a recount of the machine evaluation by hand due to the narrow result. This should be finished before November 20.
In Michigan, Trump’s lawyers filed the lawsuit announced the previous day, in which they criticized the obstruction of Republican observers during the vote count. In the state, nearly 100 percent of the votes are counted, Biden has about 148,000 votes (or 2.6 percentage points) ahead.
Even the “New York Times” can’t find any evidence of voter fraud
While the courts have already rejected numerous lawsuits and complaints from the Trump camp, the “New York Times” also took a closer look at the complaints. The renowned newspaper has conducted a thorough investigation and contacted senior officials from every state in the US and asked if there were any irregularities in the presidential elections. The result: there is still nothing to suggest.
According to the “New York Times”, none of the officials questioned said there were irregularities. Among those surveyed were officials from Donald Trump’s own party, the Republicans.
“There is a great human capacity to make things up about the election that are not true,” the newspaper quoted Republican Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose as saying. The Secretary of State stands behind the governor and his representative in the hierarchy of positions in most states of the United States. Trump had won the majority in Ohio.
