“So many things happened folks” – For the first time, Dieter Bohlen spoke after his early retirement on the RTL casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. In a video on Instagram, the 67-year-old said he was “very happy with the situation.”

Bohlen had “received a lot of offers” in recent days, as he put it. The star juror uploaded the video to coincide with the start of the “DSDS” live shows on Saturday night. “I have big plans, you will hear from me.”

Bohlen’s Instagram story was already big. In 13 screenshots he published a tribute from the newspaper »Welt«, called »Erecting a monument for Dieter«, in which a screenshot was uploaded twice. It was also regrettable that the article about the online presence of the »Welt« could only be read behind the payment barrier.

Gottschalk as substitute for the jury

For Bohlen, Thomas Gottschalk sat next to Maite Kelly and Mike Singer on the jury on Saturday. Bohlen had canceled his participation in the semifinals and finals and presented a certificate of health insurance. “Titans can also fall, and that happened to Dieter. Of course we want him to get back up quickly. Get well soon, ”explained Gottschalk.

Bohlen did not show any signs of illness in the Instagram video. Other than the announcements, Bohlen did not elaborate, it was not much more than a sign of life.

A few weeks ago, RTL announced that Bohlen’s time on the show would end after nearly 20 years. Nor will it be part of the »Supertalent« again. Bohlen was known for his humiliating comments about casting show contestants. The background to the split could be a more serious realignment of the Cologne private broadcaster.
