SV Sandhausen are in the first group in the still young season of the 2nd Bundesliga. An own goal by Daniel Buballa (45th) decided the game, the defender had deflected a shot from Dennis Diekmeier of Sandhausen. St. Pauli’s new signing Guido Burgstaller, signed by Schalke 04 during the week, was substituted in the 62nd minute.
The Hamburg team, previously without loss to the season, started well, had the game under control for half an hour and had good chances. Only then did Sandhausen perform at eye level and then hopefully step forward shortly before the half-time whistle.
