Developers on PS5: Games can run as well as on a PC

Sony has already unveiled the PS5 hardware, but fans still don’t see how well games run on the console. According to a developer, the graphics and frame rates should be as good as on a gaming PC. Cite an upcoming shooter as an example.

Sony has long announced the PS5 and also revealed the hardware. The Japanese publisher has yet to demonstrate how well games run on the console. The developers of the Ready or Not tactical shooter are confident in this regard.

In an interview with the official PlayStation magazine (issue 174, May 2020), director Julio Rodríguez said, according to tech portal Wccftech, how well games could run on PlayStation 5.

“The technical data allows more games to appear on the console market. Ready or Not may be able to keep up with the construction of the PC in terms of graphics and frame rate. That appeals to us.”

It also reveals how good they are ready or not and the frame rate so far. It also says that the design of the game would go very well with the PS5.

“Our game design is great for the PS5. We achieved frame rates of over 80 frames per second on midrange devices.”

If you look at the system requirements for Ready or Not on Steam, you will find that the requirements are not too high. If the game also appeared on PS5, it wouldn’t be surprising if both versions worked equally well.

Void Interactive studio had previously expressed interest in publishing Ready or Not for consoles. The launch of the Sony console has yet to be confirmed.

Rodríguez also comments on the PS5 “DualSense” controller recently released by Sony. Thanks to the new haptic feedback, the player will feel that Shooter will feel better than before.

But not everyone likes the new PlayStation pad, also because until now only one color combination is known. Therefore, fans present the PS5 controller even in bright colors or with funny memes.
