AUS President Donald Trump has said the final result of the November 3 presidential election may be months away. The reason he named Friday local time was the counting of votes by mail. The winner is highly unlikely to be determined on election night, Trump said at a campaign event in Newport News, Virginia. “He may not find out for months because it is a disaster.”
More recently, Trump had expressed the expectation that the election would only be decided by the Supreme Court. He repeatedly emphasizes that vote-by-mail, which is likely to be used a lot this year due to the Corona crisis, is increasing voter fraud. He has not yet provided any proof of this. According to polls, more Democrats want to cast their vote by mail than Republicans. Trump’s campaign team has filed lawsuits in several states to restrict voting by mail.
