The girl suffered from a brain tumor and had been operated on repeatedly in recent months. The moderator gave his nearly 5,000 fans on Instagram an update on his health from time to time. For example, he told his followers in October that Francesca had to undergo five operations in a month.

“I hope and pray”

Two months later, her daughter was transferred to the intensive care unit. In mid-December, the moderator contacted his fans again. “I’d give anything to see her laugh again,” he wrote about an older photo.

On December 23, he shared another photo that not only shows him with his daughter, but also with his wife Rachel. All three of them smile at the camera. “That was our last family photo, from a month ago. I hope and pray that we get back there.” Just a day later, Francesca is dead, the girl has lost the battle with cancer.
