Mask requirement, parties, travel
:
The new corona resolutions at a glance
Düsseldorf The federal and state governments are tightening the reins significantly again due to the increase in the crown number. Even now there should be stricter rules in regions that were not previously considered a risk area. An overview.
- MASK REQUIRED: With an increasing number of infections and no later than 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants, a mask requirement should be applied in public areas where people gather closer or longer.
- LOCKOUT TIME: The federal and state governments recommend that a curfew be introduced for restaurants in these regions. A time is not mentioned.
- EVENTS: The number of participants in the events will be further limited in the affected regions. Again, no number is given.
- PRIVATE CELEBRATIONS: All citizens must carefully weigh whether a private celebration is necessary and justifiable. Participation limits apply in regions with 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants: 25 people in public spaces and 15 in private spaces. Some federal states only want to formulate restrictions for private space as a recommendation. Saxony does not want to change its rules.
- HOT SPOTS: In regions with 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants, even higher standards apply. In addition to the requirement for a mask, this also means that only 10 people are allowed to gather in public spaces. Catering must close at 11pm and alcohol will no longer be served. At celebrations, 10 people are allowed to gather in public, in private rooms a maximum of 10 people from a maximum of two households. Events are limited to 100 participants.
- ULTIMATUM: If the increase in the number of infections is not stopped in ten days with the aforementioned measures, contacts must be strictly reduced: only five people or members of two households can meet in public spaces.
- NATIONAL TRAVEL: The federal and state governments urge all citizens to avoid unnecessary German domestic travel to and from areas with a high number of infections. The current restrictions on overnight stays in hotels and pensions in some federal states will be re-evaluated on November 8.
- ECONOMY: Businesses that have to accept major restrictions on their business operations should receive additional help.
- QUICK TESTS: The federal government assumes the costs of periodic rapid tests of patients, visitors, and hospital personnel, as well as residents, visitors, and employees in care facilities, the elderly, and the disabled.
- TRIPS ABROAD: As of November 8, new rules will apply for entry from foreign risk areas: travelers without a valid reason to travel will have to be quarantined for ten days, but they can be tested freely from the fifth day. There should be exceptions for necessary travel and travelers.
