If the draft is accepted in this way, the nightclubs in Lower Saxony will soon be able to reopen (topic image).

Despite the recent increase in the crown number, the state of Lower Saxony apparently plans to further relax the crown restrictions. The dpa news agency has a corresponding draft. This is still being agreed between the ministries and could be applied as of October 1. According to this, private celebrations and other events with up to 500 people should be possible in the future under certain conditions, as well as large events, including concerts, fairs and markets with more than 500 people. After almost half a year of closure, it seems that discos and clubs should be allowed to reopen: outside with up to 200 people, inside with a maximum of 100 people and alcohol is prohibited from 6 pm, like this. Reports “Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung”. Therefore, the mask requirements must be applied on dance floors.

The “significant relaxations” are limited in time

The new strategy should be limited in time. Initially, appropriate event permits should only be granted until the end of the year. This is necessary “to be able to assess the effects of this considerable relaxation,” he cites the draft dpa. During this time, the new rules will be tested. The so-called fall strategy also goes in the other direction: depending on the infection rate, further tightening of crown rules, mass quarantine measures and a complete shutdown in individual regions is conceivable. “Only when this concept of phased action ceases to take effect, can a nationwide tightening be considered until a new closure,” says the draft.

Conditions for large private parties

Planned relaxation is tied to certain conditions: private party with up to 500 people should only be possible if all participants constantly sit and keep 1.50 meters apart. If the party is mainly held standing up, in the future up to 50 participants will be allowed inside and up to 100 outside without permission. Until now, the ceiling in Lower Saxony was 50 guests.

The organizer must present several concepts

There are extensive requirements for major events with more than 500 participants: there, a maximum of 30 percent of the seats can be occupied according to the distance rules. In addition, it is also expected that there will be a ban on alcohol from 6 pm In addition, ventilation concepts, custom seating and various other concepts of access, rest, sanitary and hygiene are required by the organizer. The respective organizers must also obtain a permit that can be revoked if the situation of the crown changes.
