Almost no patients in intensive care units, no corona blast hotspots: In view of current development, the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians is promoting more flexible corona rules.

reThe National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV) advocates for further relaxation of crown rules in Germany. “You can disable panic mode,” KBV president Andreas Gassen told the business magazine “Business Insider” in an interview published Friday.

If you take a closer look at the infection process, there are currently no corona explosive hot spots. There is also considerable spare capacity in intensive care units. The number of patients and deaths in intensive care remains low.

“The numbers give reason to rethink the crown’s measures without becoming reckless,” Gassen said. Specifically, he came out in favor of relaxing the requirements for events: “I don’t see why a stadium for up to 60,000 people cannot host events of 5,000 to 8,000 people.” This was already at the end of August at the Waldbühne in Berlin. it has been successfully practiced. The only important thing is to avoid bottlenecks with close contacts to minimize the risk of infection.

Billions of support thanks to Corona

Germany’s health authorities had last reported 1,484 new corona infections in one day. Since the beginning of the Corona crisis, at least 256,850 people in Germany have been shown to have been infected with the Sars-CoV-2 virus, as announced by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on its website on Friday (data status 9/11, 0.00 am). The number of deaths related to a corona infection is 9342. That is one more than the day before. According to RKI estimates, around 230,600 people had survived the infection as of Thursday morning.

For the first time since June, the number of corona tests recorded weekly by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) has decreased again. In the week of August 31 to September 6, a good million tests were counted, about 50,000 fewer than in the previous week. It is the first time since the week of June 22-28 that the number of tests has decreased again.

Balance at six months

According to RKI estimates in Germany, the number of views, or the R-value for short, was 0.9 (previous day: 0.88) based on Thursday’s announcement. This means that an infected person infects less than another person on average. The R value represents the infection rate approximately one and a half weeks earlier.

Additionally, the RKI gives a seven-day R on its current status report. The value refers to a longer period and is therefore less subject to daily fluctuations. According to RKI estimates, this value was 1.04 (previous day: 0.95). It shows the infection process for eight to 16 days.
