New record: RKI reports 487 deaths per crown

As the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) announced in the morning, citing information from health authorities, in Germany 478 deaths were recorded in connection with corona infections in 24 hours. According to the RKI, a new record has been reached. So far last Friday, with 426 cases in 24 hours, the majority of people died in relation to the Covid 19 disease. The number of new infections this morning was 17,270 cases across the country. That was about 1,300 less than on Wednesday a week ago.

While deaths were rare at the start of the second wave, their number has soared since the end of October 2020. The same delay was already evident during the first wave: if new infections start to rise, it will take at least 14 days. so that the number of victims of Covid 19 increases. Because between infection and death there is sometimes a fight with the disease that lasts several weeks.
