In 2019, almost 33,450 tonnes had been removed by the end of October; in 2018, it was a good 32,140 tonnes. RKI: more than 13,000 new infections – 388 more deaths
The Robert Koch Institute reports an increase in confirmed corona cases in Germany from 13,604 to more than 1,067 million. The day before, 11,169 new infections had been reported, 13,554 last Tuesday. The number of people who died from Covid 19 disease increased from 388 to 16,636. The so-called 7-day R-value fell slightly in 24 hours, from 0.95 to 0.91. This means that, in theory, 100 infected people infect 91 more people. The value represents the appearance of the infection 8 to 16 days ago. If the value is less than 1 for a longer period of time, the infection rate decreases.
