Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: MP asks for fewer contacts
Mecklenburg Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) has called for fewer contacts in view of the increasing number of corona infections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Traveling to family celebrations in other regions in particular would carry the risk of the virus returning to the state. “Everything we are doing without now in November guarantees that then we can be with the family at Christmas,” Schwesig stressed. Due to the increasing number of infections, it is necessary to reduce contacts so that public life can continue. He emphasized that Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is the only federal state in Germany that does not yet have a corona risk area. However, people in the Northeast could no longer protect themselves from the infection as well as possible in spring.
