12 dead after corona outbreak at Lichtenberg nursing home

Nursing home in Lichtenberg closed to visitors

Partial evacuation of a retirement home: 14 residents relocated so far
A joint crisis team agreed to transfer 14 residents who tested positive to other facilities. Some of the residents need “intensive care.” But that doesn’t mean they are in intensive care units, the district office spokesman said. In addition, there must be infected living areas to separate the infected from the uninfected residents. Starting in the middle of next week, employees should use the corona rapid tests before starting work.
The partial evacuation continued until Friday night. The fire department supported the evacuation with 20 employees who provided logistical assistance.
