Nightclub operators open to masks on dance floors
The Federal Association of German Discotheques and Dance Companies (BDT im Dehoga) is calling for a clear opening perspective for clubs in the Corona crisis in the run-up to the industry meeting “Club Convention” this Tuesday in Osnabrück. “We are not the problem, but the solution,” said BDT Managing Director Stephan Büttner in an interview with Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung (NOZ).
Büttner is sure that the youngsters will not be locked up during the winter months. “Then the celebrations are moved to private rooms. This is more dangerous for the infection process than celebrating in the club. We want a dialogue to probe the conditions under which a reopening would be possible, ”said Büttner.
Route concept, mask on the dance floor, ventilation, if necessary, affordable rapid tests, this is what the politicians want to discuss. “The requirement for a mask on the dance floor is not ideal, but we shouldn’t rule it out either,” said the BDT managing director.
