One week earlier, the value was 487 (239 ventilated), the previous week it was 362 (193 ventilated). Around 8,700 intensive care beds are still available in Germany.

The number of corona tests has fluctuated between around 1.1 million and 1.2 million per week since mid-August. However, according to RKI data from Wednesday, the positive test rate has risen significantly: from 0.74 percent in late August to 2.48 percent in the week of October 5-11.
