In Schleswig-Holstein there is a risk of high fines for incorrect information in restaurants. The number of visitors to private celebrations is based on the infection rate in the region.

It’s the fight against Mickey Mouse or Darth Vader on the contact lists: in Schleswig-Holstein, people who give false information about themselves in a restaurant or other inns face a future fine of between 50 and 1,000 euros. Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) announced on Tuesday evening after an exchange conversation between Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the countries’ prime minister. “That is intentional if you do not fill in the contact lists correctly,” explained Günther, who referred to the as an example. He referred to the consumption of corona in a Hamburg bar. At first, it was not clear how the fine rule should actually apply if, for example, entering a wrong name makes it unclear who you are.

Initially, no opening steps are planned.

In individual cases, it should also be possible to limit the amount of alcohol served. A government spokesman said the cabinet had already made the corresponding decision for the new regulations. In view of the growing crown number, there should be no opening steps “in sight,” Günther said. The main goal is to keep the economy running and daycare centers and schools open.

If the threshold is reached, the number of visitors is reduced

A big theme in the change was private celebrations – in recent weeks they have been repeatedly a herd of corona infections. In Schleswig-Holstein there are a maximum of 50 visitors. Prime Minister Günther wants to implement the restrictions recommendations in consultation with the districts in the event of regional outbreaks. This means that of 35 corona cases per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days, only 25 people should be allowed in for private parties.

With an incidence value of more than 50, only a maximum of 10 people should be able to hold meetings privately. Corona “is not only dangerous in public spaces,” Günther said. Basically, it is advisable to celebrate outdoors.

More air: federal funding program of more than 500 million euros

In addition, more ventilation will be provided in public and private spaces in the future to reduce the risk of infection. This is funded by a federal funding program for the modernization of “air conditioning systems” with a total volume of 500 million euros. Health authorities will also get an additional 5,000 jobs across the country, especially for contact tracing.

Günther: The procedure in SH has resulted in lower crown numbers

Many of the measures that have now been agreed at the national level are already entering into force in Schleswig-Holstein. According to Günther, this means that only minor changes to the applicable regulations are necessary. The previous rather cautious approach has led to lower crown numbers compared to other federal states, the prime minister said.

Schleswig-Holstein had already reacted, also with an alert system.

Several districts and municipalities in Schleswig-Holstein had already reacted to the increasing number of cases. Additionally, there has been an early warning system in the northernmost state for months, leading to action if the number of infections increases in one location.
