So clearly there are situations where we think it makes sense to evaluate people even though they are not yet symptomatic, ”Wieler continued. He cited people from risk groups as an example and announced that Targeted testing in facilities such as nursing homes and nursing homes. It should be carried out. A concept for this is currently being developed.

His colleague explained the latest developments in the reproductive rate: “Die R value calculation has unchangedbut Estimated number of new cases. We smooth them out a bit, ”he said. However, the R value is “as before”. Another journalist pointed out that that was not enough to explain it. “Is it really comparable?” She asked. Wieler: “Yes, that is comparable. It was calculated using the same method. “
Wieler’s employees again responded to the lawsuit. “The lower the number of estimated new cases, the more local developments and clusters become noticeable and more fluctuations occur. But they should not cause too much concern because the Fluctuations have only a small effect“He emphasized.
Update, 10.20 a.m.: At the conference, Wieler also reported that this Average age of kills in Germany in 81 years lies he Mortality rate currently also included Four percent. Zastrow emphasized in a report by Bild.de: “The Mouth and nose protection is the most effective protection against crown infection. for all who use it. This closes the only source of infection and the epidemic would end very quickly. ” After all, protective mouth and nose masks are not worn at all in the hospital when treating and caring for infected patients.
Yes RKI director Wieler emphasized repeatedly since January that mouth-nose protection practically ineffective in protecting the user be talking to Bild.de Zastrow wonders how it could be that the RKI president is like this little experience and spread nonsense. “This undermines the instructions of Wieler de Laschet, Söder and other prime ministers,” says the scientific director of the Institute of Hygiene in Berlin, who is also the chairman of the standardization committee for surgical textiles. Scientists’ criticism: There were early warning signs, and yet almost no one saw the dramatic spread of the corona virus because the warnings had not been adequately observed internationally.
“This crisis shows that different nations, depending on the political culture, the You have partially ignored or even denied early warning signs“Fleet doctor Christian Haggenmiller, the health and safety expert responsible for the” German Institute for Defense and Strategic Studies “(GIDS) group at the Bundeswehr Command and General Staff Academy, said a report by Bild.de.
The doctor gives the example of United States. “They have very extensive means for early detection of health threats, both military and civilian, and they also recognized the development around Covid-19 immediately,” says Haggenmiller. But that was not considered a priority by the current political leadership.
According to the scientist, the government in Germany also did not respond quickly enough to the corona virus. The one who goes through that Robert Koch Institute (RKI) According to Haggenmiller, the elaborated national pandemic plan shows that current early detection is insufficient and does not start early enough. However, he also admits that claims of what might be called early have increased significantly due to the crown pandemic.
The goal now is an early warning system with near real-time qualities. Various approaches are currently being followed, such as the use of algorithms that evaluate search queries for certain symptoms on the Internet, according to the Bild.de report.

The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) Now he has put into play a proposal that sounds grotesque at first glance, but given the current exceptional situation, it is probably not completely utopian: a Ticket required for pedestrian areas, shops, and hotels.
Virus crowns in Germany: DIHK wants to boost the economy with digital technologies
With help digital techniques the DIHK wants the Boost economy fasterthan Editorial network Germany is based on a concept of the House, which last weekend to the chancellor Angela Merkel and other representatives of the grand coalition were dispatched. “Digital solutions help keep distance in everyday life without having to stay at home,” the document’s network cites.

Update, 10.25 a.m.: The Vice President of the FDP Wolfgang Kubicki has that Robert Koch Institute (RKI) and its president Lothar Wiel
the due to regularly distributed crown numbers strongly criticized. According to him, these “give the impression politically motivated numbers be scientifically sound, “Kubicki said Tuesday of the German Press Agency in Berlin.
He particularly referred to the Playback number (R), which shows how many other people are infected. According to the RKI, it is dated Monday night temporarily increased across the country from 0.9 to 1.0. Already on Tuesday afternoon, the institute announced that the number of reproductions dropped back to 0.9 en Kubicki criticized the news that the number of reproductions had increased on Tuesday in view of falling infection rates. While Prime Minister Markus Söder announced an R value of 0.57 for Bavaria, the country with the most infections, the RKI reported a value of 1 across the country, the vice of the FDP was publicly surprised.
Virus crowns in Germany: Kubicki publicly doubts the seriousness of the RKI
“Where does this value come from? with decreasing infection rates should come even the most well-intentioned no longer opens“Kubicki said. The FDP politician is also surprised that Wieler is in his favor. Method change in calculation of value and now indicate its decreasing relative importance. This does not help “consider the institute’s daily water level reports to be serious.” Furthermore, Kubicki said the values determined by the TU Ilmenau and the Helmholtz Center differed significantly from the RKI estimates, adding: “A prankster who thinks badly. The RKI R value increases at Chancellor’s conference with the Prime Minister, who should be warned of further relaxation. “
Update, 8.19 a.m.: The federal government acquires 4.5 million additional cans for the first time in fall and winter The vaccine against him conventional Flu. Chancellor Angela Merkel wants to discuss tomorrow with the Prime Minister again how to proceed in the Corona crisis. Meanwhile, the Germans’ summer holidays are bad: the federal government wants to extend the global travel warning.
Crown in Germany: Government should refrain from planned change of strategy, but isn’t there massive evidence?
9.45 p.m .: It’s in the Coronavirus pandemic in Germany now on everyone’s lips: the so-called Number of reproductions *.
According to estimates of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) starting Tuesday around one. That means that, on average, all Infected crown infect another person. The objective of long-range protection measures should be to Number of reproductions to stay below 1 if possible. Scientists and politicians emphasize this over and over again.
There is also positive news to report: according to RKI estimates, in Germany now about 117,400 people a Infection with the pathogen Sars-CoV-2 survived
Corona virus in Germany: more than 200 corona deaths in 24 hours
8:56 p.m. Germany you have more than 200 more in 24 hours Deaths from crown infection to complain
This is based on an evaluation of German press agency that takes into account the latest figures from the federal states.
Accordingly, at least 6054 people who had previously dealt with the Corona virus infected Monday night, 8.15 p.m., there were 5842 Dead crown.
As they say, Tuesday night there were more than 157,500 across the country. Covid-19 disorders Registered The number of reported infections increased by approximately 1,300 in one day.
Crown in Germany: Federal government probably doesn’t want mass testing
6:21 pm: For weeks there has been an increase in votes, massive large-scale tests for the Corona virus asked to get an overview of the situation. In the government, the plan was to update to several million tests per week.
The world reports, citing an unpublished Union bill and the SPD. For comparison: more than two million tests have been carried out in Germany so far. But the newspaper now claims to have learned that the federal government does not want to force mass testing at least for now.
Until now, mainly people have been tested with one Infection was suspected Under the new plan, people without symptoms should also have been tested, for example, to determine the degree of infection in the population.
From this Change of strategy According to the report, now one is retiring. This stems from a new bill, which should be brought to the cabinet this week. Consequently, only the additional costs that health insurance companies would incur as a result of testing are discussed here, without actually forcing testing.
With that, the change in strategy was over Mass tests not rejected, or at least postponed, the sheet concludes.
But it is not only the federal government’s strategy to deal with the coronavirus that currently attracts the interest of politicians and citizens alike. Some now wonder why so little was heard from Federal Interior Minister Horst Seehofer in connection with the crown crisis *. The leader of the Green Group, Konstantin von Notz, criticized that the situation was “mega serious in terms of internal politics and that the Federal Ministry of the Interior was simply not in the square.”
In the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, antibody tests, among other things, represent great hope, but now American researchers are warning about false results.
The crown reproduction number fluctuates around the crucial value for loosening
3.31 p.m .: The Reproductive factor * or the infection rate of the Corona virus causes excitement on Tuesday. Than Robert–Cook–Institute had reported in the morning that it had increased from 0.9 to 1.0. The number is mentioned by leading politicians like Angela Merkel as a decisive factor in deciding on the possible relaxation of the existing measures.
Already at the press conference of RKI–President Lothar Wieler in the morning there were discussions about the so-called value R. Wieler named the value at 1.0. However, a journalist continued to score below 1 on his own. (see update at 10.22 a.m.).

Jeder Infizierte steckt also einen anderen Menschen an.

Coronavirus in Deutschland: Altmaier dämpft Gastro-Hoffnungen
