Germany In view of the increasing number of corona infections, be prepared for massive restrictions. The federal and state governments decided Wednesday night on
Sedan new rules. They come into force on November 2 and are initially valid until the end of November.
Here is an overview of the most important resolutions:
- contacts other people outside one’s home should be kept to the absolute minimum necessary. From now on, staying in public is only allowed with members of their own household and from another household, in any case with a maximum of ten people. Groups of people celebrating in public places, in apartments and in private facilities are no longer tolerated. Infractions are punished.
- Travel: Unnecessary private travel and family visits should be avoided. This also applies in Germany and for national day trips. Accommodation offers in Germany will only be available for necessary and expressly non-tourist purposes.
- Culture and leisure: Theaters, opera houses, concerts and similar institutions must close. Fairs, cinemas, amusement parks and providers of leisure activities (indoor and outdoor), game rooms, casinos, gambling venues and similar facilities will also be closed from Monday. This also applies to brothels. Many lights remain off in the event area. Entertainment events are prohibited.
- Sport: Professional sporting events can only take place without spectators. Leisure and amateur sports are again prohibited. The exception is individual sport – alone, as a couple or at home – in public and private sports facilities. The bitter closing list still includes swimming pools and amusement pools, saunas and thermal baths, gyms and similar facilities.
- Gastronomy: Restaurant establishments, as well as bars, clubs, discos, pubs and similar establishments will be closed. Only sales away from home are allowed. The canteens can still be used.
- Body hugging services: Cosmetic studios, massage practices, tattoo studios and similar businesses will be closed. Medically necessary treatments, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, as well as podiatry / foot care, are still possible. Hair salons may open more.
- Commerce: There is no reason to buy hamsters. Because wholesale and retail trade remains open under certain conditions (for hygiene, to control access and avoid queues). However, no more than one customer is allowed in ten square meters of sales area.
- Schools and kindergartens stay open. The federal states decide the necessary protection measures.
