Sad record: in Delmenhorst, the incidence value of corona has risen to 197.6 new corona infections per 100,000 residents. The city wants to use more staff to follow up on contacts.
The Delmenhorst health department reported 16 new infections on Sunday, according to the city’s website. Consequently, 231 people (at 2 pm) are infected with the corona virus. So far, the administration has been unable to identify individual access points, such as nursing homes. The biggest risks are “family celebrations, infections at work and quarantined contact persons within the immediate family,” Rudolf Mattern, head of Corona’s crisis team, said Sunday at the request of NDR.de. Mattern also announced that it would increase staff. “This should continue to ensure follow-up,” said the crisis chief. On Monday the city wants to report on new measures at a press conference. NDR.de will broadcast live on video feed from 10.30 am.

Citizen phone configuration
Due to the massive infection, the city administration seized a citizen’s phone. Under the Phone number (04221) 99 22 71 citizens can ask their questions about the coronavirus. The citizen hotline is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
More restrictions on events
All services in Delmenhorst were canceled on Sunday. Sporting events have been canceled. Spectators are not allowed until at least October 25. This applies to all public and private sports facilities, both indoor and outdoor. The mask requirement had previously been expanded. Regular operations in nurseries have been restricted. On October 9 the The city issues a general decree. Consequently, private indoor and outdoor gatherings and celebrations are limited to ten people.
