reThe union parties put into play a new edition of the special tax-free Corona payments. “There are good reasons to implement this regulation again this year. We will discuss this in the coalition, ”Andreas Jung (CDU), vice president of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group, told WELT AM SONNTAG. The tax credit provides an incentive to reward employees for their outstanding work in times of crisis.

Politicians had already decided at the beginning of the crisis that a one-time tax-free special payment of up to 1,500 euros per employee could be made. The SPD notes that this regulation was last extended until the end of June. “I hope that several other employers will seize the opportunity by then. Then we will take stock and decide in the light of the development of the crisis how to proceed, ”said Achim Post, vice chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the Bundestag.
