In MV, authorities have registered 95 new corona infections since Saturday. Another person died in connection with the corona virus. The entire country is now considered a risk zone again.

The number of new corona infections recorded in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania increased by 95 cases from Saturday to Sunday (as of Sunday, 3:32 pm). That’s more than double what it was a week ago, when 46 cases were identified in one day. The day before there were 82 new cases. However, the tests are usually much less frequent on Sundays and holidays than during the week. In general, the The State Office of Health and Social Affairs (LAGuS) reported 6,783 infections in the country since March. According to The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) estimates that 5,181 (+84) of the people who tested positive in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have recovered from Covid 19 disease. The number of deaths in the Northeast has risen to a total of 75 (+ 1). Compared to other federal states, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Schleswig-Holstein have the fewest cases.

The national incidence rate is 50.6

At the national level, the incidence value is 50.6 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week. Therefore, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is a risk zone in general. The 50.1 limit was briefly exceeded in early November. A total of four districts and the state capital had previously exceeded the critical incidence value of 50 and were therefore considered a risk area. In the Mecklenburg Lake District, the value is 80.6. The city of Schwerin reports a seven-day incidence of 72.1, the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald 71.7, Ludwigslust-Parchim 66.1, and North West Mecklenburg 57.2. For the West Pomerania-Rügen district it is currently 30.7 and in the Hanseatic city of Rostock 17.2. The incidence value for the Rostock district was given as 14.8.

Currently 123 people with Covid-19 in the hospital

According to the latest figures from LAGuS and the Ministry of Health, 123 (+5) people across the country are currently being treated for Covid-19 in a hospital, 30 (-2) of them are in intensive care. According to the intensive care registry, 15 patients with Covid-19 must be ventilated. The log shows 534 occupied intensive care beds and 166 free for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (as of Sunday 3:19 pm).
