The Danish police carried out a large-scale operation against the attempted escape of a prisoner. The prisoner was arrested in Albertslund in western Copenhagen after trying to escape, police said.

The escaped prisoner is said to be submarine builder Peter Madsen, who was convicted of murder in 2018. This is what the Danish tabloids “Ekstra Bladet” and “BT” report. There is no official confirmation for this yet.

However, “Ekstra Bladet” released video footage alleged to show the inventor, who was sentenced to life in prison in 2018. Madsen is responsible for the gruesome death of Swedish journalist Kim Wall. In the summer of 2017, he brutally murdered her in a submarine he had built.

The recordings released by Ekstra Bladet show a man sitting on the grass by the road who is very similar to Madsen, 49. Around him you can see several policemen with weapons ready.

According to “Ekstra Bladet”, Madsen had left the prison with a gun-like object and is said to have threatened him with a bomb. Therefore, the place of detention is about 400 to 500 meters from the detention center where Madsen is serving his sentence.
