Munich recently broke the upper limit of the crown significantly. Mayor Reiter now explains how the city wants to deal with the situation: the people of Munich have to again accept greater restrictions. This also includes a mask requirement at select locations.

In view of the increased number of infections in the Bavarian capital Munich, stricter crown rules immediately apply. As Mayor Dieter Reiter announced, the contact restrictions now apply again. Only five people or members of two households can meet in the urban area.

Also, in selected locations, it is mandatory to wear mouth and nose protection. Private celebrations, such as weddings, are still possible but are limited to 25 indoors and 50 outdoors. The regulation should apply from Thursday.

Yesterday Sunday, the crown figures in Munich had reached 55.6 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants in a week. This means that a significant cutoff value for newly tested corona infections has been exceeded.
