In an accident in Bochum, one person died on Friday. She was hit by a car while exiting a streetcar.
In a traffic accident on Wattenscheider Straße in Bochum, one person was fatally injured on Friday afternoon. According to police, the adult got off a tram at a stop around 5:20 pm and was hit by a passing car.
The accident victim died at the scene after a failed resuscitation. According to the police, there is no evidence of alcohol or drug use by the driver. Traffic on Wattenscheider Strasse was interrupted for about two hours while the accident was being recorded.
Bochum police have yet to provide any details.
Out of consideration for the relatives, the police initially did not provide more precise information on the age, sex and origin of the accident victim, since they could not yet be notified.
