Images of the discussion with four seriously injured people near the SPD headquarters are now circulating on the Internet. BZ learned what’s behind the new, extreme escalation of clan violence.
From the environment of several participants it is said that a dispute in an illegal gaming tournament was the trigger. It should have gotten into an argument between several men, presumably due to gambling debts.
The afternoon after the shooting, police officers removed a game table and accessory case from a room at the crime scene. Martin Steltner, spokesman for the Berlin Prosecutor’s Office, has so far only said: “It was about illegal business.”
However, it is clear: according to the prosecutor, an Italian (30) first shot three other men. They counterattacked, beat the attacker. All were seriously injured.
According to information from BZ, Abbas C. (30), nephew of a clan chief, was placed in an artificial coma after receiving a blow to the stomach. Veysel Kilic (39) was also seriously injured. The brother of the Arafat Abou-Chaker clan chief, Ali (46), was transferred to a clinic but was not seriously injured.
It is said that all the seriously injured were known. Family member about BZ: “Veysel was invited to Abbas’s wedding.”
Prosecutor Steltner said Monday: “There was a mutual gunshot among those involved. His health has not changed. “
