According to the police, two police divers discovered a body in Bossee, near Felde (Rendsburg-Eckernförde district). They were looking for a canoeist who had been missing since Sunday.

The 39-year-old man went out in a canoe with a companion on Sunday night when it was already dark. The men wanted to tie a floating Christmas tree on a pontoon to a buoy on the Bossee. The canoe capsized. According to the police, the companion was able to swim to shore with his last strength. Police assumed Monday that the man was no longer alive. The body has now been found near the shore.

Sonar boat THW discovered clues

Around 90 rescuers searched in vain for the missing person until Sunday night. Today, divers were able to begin their search at a point where the crew of a THW sonar boat had discovered the first clues.

The Bossee is directly connected to the much larger Westensee.
